Argent Keys Studio proudly presents our brand-upgraded new custom mechanical keyboard kit: Ripple 60%.
Core Features
A 60% custom mechanical keyboard kit with left-side Type-C port, featuring 4 playable structures: Gasket TOP, Steel-free PCB Gasket, Steel PCB Gasket, and Plate Gasket.
Achieve multi-layout switching (WK/WKL/HHKB) by replacing small components. Its internal structure is compatible with various GH60 PCBs on the market, and the case supports 60% layout magnetic-axis PCBs.
This keyboard delivers the most comprehensive functionality and playability in 60% layouts. Read on for details!
Exhibition
On July 27, 2025, we showcased the first prototype of this keyboard at the Wuque Exhibition “Key-by-Key Love 3.0” in collaboration with [Dim sum lab] booth. To those who saw it, thank you for your love and recognition!

About Interest Check (IC) and Prototype Testing
After the first sampling, we summarized issues and revised the keyboard’s design and internal structure. We’re now in the [IC] phase, preparing for the second prototype test.
Our studio believes a quality product requires multiple structural validations, surface treatment tests, and color adjustments. We oppose launching group buys solely based on renders. When capable, we strive to ensure consistent quality and perfection for every unit.
Customers who purchased our previous products know our quality and QC standards. To new customers, we ask for your trust—we welcome real-time supervision and progress updates.
We hope to collect valuable feedback through this [IC] to refine the design with your input.

Design Concept for Planned Mass Production Version
[Design Concept]
Minimalism, an aesthetic term I adore, centers on “less is more”—conveying essential beauty through simplicity. “Purity, restraint, simplicity” are key traits.
We lean toward cases with extensive metal cutting and curves, aiming to create a keyboard that balances practicality, portability, and artistry, returning to the 60% layout’s functional essence.
Naming
Named “Ripple60”, it draws inspiration from “water ripples.”
In nature, ripples are gentle energy waves—when a stone hits still water, ripples spread softly, breaking silence before the water calms. This “coexistence of motion and stillness” mirrors an ideal life: not stagnant, nor chasing fleeting noise, but steady with subtle rhythm, simple with layered depth.
Post-First-Sampling Revisions & Planned Mass Production Design

Key design adjustments after the first sampling:
- Corner Design: Changed from beveled corners (seen in the silver prototype) to R3 rounded corners, better matching “ripple” softness. Added a slight 4.5mm inward-retracted, 0.5mm sunken bevel on the front slope, aligning the narrow side edges with the slope’s inner width. The top edge uses R0.5 rounding; outer bottom edges use C0.5 beveling—this “top-round, bottom-bevel” design softens visuals. The bottom bevel increases shadow on the desktop, enhancing the keyboard’s presence.
- Top Case Design: Split by a straight HG line, with the upper 10mm section featuring an 8° inward draft to avoid a “wide” look from top view. Revised side design: a natural arc from the rear slope to the front replaces the original flat side, reducing visual bulk. The side reveals the powder-coated inner bottom case.
- Feet: Updated to fully rounded 80A hardness black silicone feet (injection-molded).
- Weight & Bottom Case: The 3mm-thick ripple back weight features patterns spreading from dense center circles to wider outer rings, mimicking real ripples. The raised ripple surface aligns with the bottom case, like a shore containing water.
The bottom case uses 8 screws: 4×M2.5×12mm and 4×M2.5×25mm. After first sampling, we moved corner screws to the outermost edges and added 4 internal screws to prevent deformation from hollowing. “RIPPLE” lettering was revised from abstract symbols to neat, elongated fonts (see anodized bright silver version for reference).

Ripple60 adopts a design with replaceable WKL/HHKB small “front teeth” components that are integrated with the top case. The small front teeth are fixed with m2.5*3 countersunk screws. Without disassembling the PCB inner housing, you can unscrew the bottom case screws, add or remove the components to switch between WK/WKL/HHKB three layouts. Realizing quick switching on one keyboard case allows you to experience different layout styles. In the WK state, the left-side Type-C port can be compatible with 6.25u & 7u GH60 mechanical & magnetic-axis PCBs, which can be said to achieve the most comprehensive functional playability in 60% layouts on this keyboard.Structure component installation diagram:Layout switching diagrams:

- Gasket Structure: Uses custom dual-segment hollow silicone pillars (50A and 70A hardness options). One pillar type enables switching between steel-free and steel Gasket: pillars clip into both plate and PCB hooks, cushioning the entire inner housing. Standard GH60s (without case-matching PCB hooks) use steel plate Gasket or TOP structure.
Special thanks to @INN Studio and Senpo S!mple for inspiring the hollow silicone pillar design, proven stable in their products.

We modified the Gasket pillars to lock both PCB and plate simultaneously.
- TOP Structure: Standard plate-hook TOP structure shares hook positions with Gasket. 8×M2.5×5mm half-round head screws fix the plate to the top case, with 1mm nitrile gaskets under plate hooks to reduce metal resonance.
